End of Life Doula Care
What is a death doula?
A death doula (or end-of-life doula) is a non-medical professional who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and families as they navigate the dying process. We hold space for conversations, comfort/discomfort, emotions, and ritual while helping to ease fear and bring meaning to this sacred transition.

-
For the client, and their caregivers at times, I offer my undivided attention for whatever thoughts, emotions, or feelings come up in each moment.
-
A time where clients, and sometimes their caregivers, are able to reflect on past memories and how they can relate to the present. Or simply just reminisce. I’ll be there as a sounding board and a quiet witness with a playful curious mind (when appropriate of course).
-
Helping to plan for the decisions are how my clients want to be cared for in body, mind and spirit in the event they become unable to speak for themselves.
-
Panning for who and what my clients would like to be surrounded by when the time for active dying comes. If they or their caregivers would like me to be there for support, we can make that happen.
-
This can include care giver respite to give them much needed breaks, guidance through the dying process, and grief after the death of their loved one.
-
Assisting clients in preparing for the future by mindfully passing along meaningful possessions to loved ones (or simply planning who they’d like to give to), and donating other items they wish to give for continued joy and purpose. All of this is done at the client’s pace, with kindness and respect.

Including but not limited to writing letters or recording video messages to loved ones, documenting memories and/or history, etc. Projects could also include arts, crafts, unfinished business, and more.
