Craniosacral Therapy
-
Craniosacral Therapy is a light touch therapy that works primarily with the craniosacral system (made up of dura mater and cerebrospinal fluid), which envelopes the central nervous system (mainly the brain and spinal cord). I gently hold different areas on the body, from the feet to the head (and sometimes inside the mouth) to feel the subtle rhythm of the craniosacral system, and to treat it. This helps me to find where the body might be "stuck" and/or holding tension and tightness. When there is tension on this system, it can't function as well as it should, which can create many issues like pain, organ dysfunction, cognitive issues, headaches/migraines, stress, sensory issues, etc. Using light touch (5 grams of pressure or less), I follow the subtle movements in the fascia to the position the body wants to be in to release. Think of the light touch as "stealth therapy", the more the body can't feel my hands, the less chance it has to protect itself and stay in the dysfunctional patterns.
During sessions, clients are fully clothed in comfortable clothing (think sweats or yoga pants), and face up the whole time. Most clients fall asleep, or go into a deep relaxing mind state. Each session can either be 60 or 90 minutes. I suggest starting with 60 minutes for the first couple visits so we don't overwhelm your system, and to get to know what the therapy feels like.

Craniosacral-Massage Combo
-
Service is for existing clients only.
All the benefits of massage and craniosacral therapy combined into one session. Sometimes I start with craniosacral, other times with massage. For the massage portion of the session, I do more focus work for about 30-45min in the areas that you’re having the most trouble with.
Also, if you’re interested in craniosacral, but don’t want to commit to a full craniosacral session just yet. Combo sessions are a great place to start getting familiar with the light touch of craniosacral therapy.
